A-Muse-a-Palooza Day 2!

We had fun with all of the Make’n'Take participants today – fun that I intended to document with our handy camera, but the batteries were dead! Not to fear, I have two pairs in the charger for Monday!

Today’s Make’n'Take featured our Mitten die-cut from AccuCut, the Cranberry Red A Muse Notecards, and some simple stamping techniques that produced a cute little card that would be a cinch for “mass production” leading up to the busy Christmas holidays. We’ll post a picture of the card on Monday, as well as pictures of the cards we are doing during our Monday classes (the afternoon session is full, but we still have space left in the evening class).

The great thing about getting a group of crafters together in one place to do a project is that the ideas start flowing  - today we were all coming up with one idea after another for the different die-cuts – hanging mittens on a clothesline, two mittens with wool for string… felt mittens (yes, our AccuCut goes through felt and other fabrics!), etc.

Someone used the new A Muse Woodgrain Paper (8.5×11) with our Bare Tree Die-cut and it was to “die” for! Then a participant had the brilliant idea to die-cut and layer up a bunch of flowers for the tree foilage using some leafy pattern papers from Doodlebug and the green Double Dot Bo Bunny cardstock – clever!

The AccuCut Blog is jam-packed with great ideas – check out one of the many clever projects from AccuCut Designer, Traci Armbrust: http://accucut.typepad.com/craft/2008/11/techniques-with-traci.html

That’s all for today – just a reminder that we are CLOSED on Sunday during the Summer, we’ll be back on Monday with some pictures of Saturday’s Make’n'Take and Monday’s cards!
