At The Paperie we are happy to offer three options for handmade invitations:
Full Custom Service
We can help custom design your invitation or you can bring a design to us to recreate (we cannot make exact replicas of designs due to copyright, but we can help make it your own). We will print, cut and assemble the invitations so you can spend time on other aspects of your event. We can supply you with any quantity, whether you need 18 invitations or 257. Please note that due to a high volume of orders, ideally we require a minimum of 2 months notice from the time you wish to send out your invitations for Full Custom orders, some exceptions may apply. If your deadline is a little tighter, don’t hestitate to contact us – we will do our very best to accommodate every client.
Do-It-Yourself
Whether you are customizing your own design in true DIY fashion or choosing an invitation from our Inspiration Collection, we can supply the paper, envelopes, embellishments, adhesive, stamps, and anything else you might need to complete your invitations at home or in our shop. We will take you through everything from selecting your colours to showing you how to cut and assemble your invitations. Our workshop includes the AccuCut GrandeMark machine which you can use to cut out a varietyof invitation enclosures, favours boxes and shapes.
Assembly Required
Choose a design from our Inspiration Collection or customize your own invitation. We can print, cut, and provide instructions for assembly, supplying you with all the materials you need to complete your invitations at home or in our workshop which is available for a $5 hourly rate.
Customizing Your Invitations
Invitation styles, colour schemes and design options are endless, with hundreds of colours and styles of paper to choose from. Select an invitation from our Inspiration Collection, alter an existing design to suit your tastes, bring us a picture of an invitation you like or just use your imagination to come up with something totally unique!
Because we offer the option of customizing your invitations and because every client is unique, we do not have a price list for our designs. Our Designer is happy to meet with you to determine your specific needs and provide a Quote based on the style of invitation you’re looking for. You can always add or take away from a design to suit your style and your invitation budget. Samples can be made for a nominal fee.
DIY Wedding Invitation Consultations
The Paperie is pleased to offer Consultations for Brides & Grooms who wish to create their own invitations. For just $25.00 we will take you through every step, from figuring out how to get the most out of your paper to putting it all together. The best part is that the $25.00 will actually come off your total when you order all of your supplies through us so it’s actually a free consult!
Invitation Enclosures and Favour Boxes
Invitation enclosures and Favour Boxes can be made in our Workshop using our AccuCut Die-cutting System® which does most of the work for you! Our workshop is available for $5.00 an hour per person (or $30.00 per person for the whole year). We have a wide variety of Invitation Enclosure templates and Favour Box/Bag templates to choose from, all of which can be cut out using almost any cardstock!
Cardstock & Envelopes
Our Cardstock is available in hundreds of colours and styles and can be ordered in any quantity (orders of 100 sheets or more receive a 10% discount which is also applicable to envelope orders). Because we offer so many colours, we do not stock large quantities so you should allow for 2-6 weeks if planning to order cardstock. Some papers are available in either 12×12 and 8.5×11, and some are available in both sizes. All cardstock needs to be cut down to invitation size (5×7, 6×6, etc).
Envelopes are available in White and Ivory and we carry a variety of sizes. 3.5×5 (RSVP size), 4.25×5.5 (standard card size), 5×7 (most popular for invitations), and 8.5×5.5. We also carry square envelopes in 5×5, 5.5×5.5 and 6×6. You should always choose an envelope before you cut your paper to ensure a good fit.
