Friday’s Features – July Spotlight

This week we have another layout to share made by our July guest designer, Rae Lynn O’Keefe.

This layout shows a great use of leftover scraps, as you can see Rae Lynn has used two strips of patterned paper – one at the top and one at the bottom, then cut out the monsters from another scrap of patterned paper from the same line (October Afternoon). Using pieces of your patterned paper like this is a great way to embellish your page and still have lots of paper leftover.

We often see people stray away from bold patterns because they are “too busy”, but if you look at them in a new light you might just see that the paper is ideal for cutting out bits and pieces to make embellishments to go on cards or layouts. Cut out flowers, stars, circles – any design you see on any paper has potential!
