Create-a-Card: 16th Edition – Teachers

Posted by Wendy

This week’s card post is in honour of all the teachers out there.  Last month we had a customer come in looking for teacher appreciation stamps and while there were options of how to use existing sets to make a teacher appreciation card, nothing was quite specific enough. So I did what I do best and ordered some!

Supplies for this card:

  • Mini Glossy Accents
  • Memento Ink: Ladybug & Tuxedo Black

  • My Favourite Things Teacher Stamp (sentiments)
  • My Mind’s Eye Enamel Dots

Instructions:

  1. Scor and fold card base
  2. stamp ledger background in ladybug red ink
  3. stamp sentiment in black ink
  4. stamp clipboard and fussy cut out
  5. cut slit where clip meets clipboard
  6. stamp apple and color using Copics
  7. add glossy accents to apple to make it ‘shine’
  8. add enamel dots to bottom of card
  9. adhere clipboard directly to card base
  10. adhere apple using foam dots.

Done!  How cute is that clipboard? I can see lots of cool ideas for that one. Now I’m on the hunt for more fun teacher appreciation stamps.  We’d love to hear what treats you give to the teachers in your life, or if you are a teacher what are some of the most memorable treats you have received?

Happy Stamping!
