Create-a-card: Peacock Feather

Hi all!

I’m back with another card created with a stencil from my stash – one that I’ve had for a while but honestly never used – now I can think of so many variations of this card.  Here’s the card I made:

  • 12×12 feather stencil
  • enamel dots
  • Hello dies from Die-namcis
  • Perfect Pearls mist
  • Card size Fiskars paper cutter
  • Distress Inks: broken china, tumbled glass, dusty concord
  • Neenah Solar White cardstock
  • Bazzill black cardstock
  • post-it tape (not shown)
  • Zig Glue pen (not shown)

  1. adhere card panel to craft mat with post-it tape
  2. position stencil so that the feather sits where you want it – tape it down with post-it tape
  3. Use Distress Inks and apply with foam applicators starting with lightest and ending at top of feather with Dusty Concord
  4. Remove stencil from card panel
  5. mist with Perfect Pearls mist
  6. Ink edges of panel with dusty concord
  7. cut ‘hello’ from black cardstock
  8. apply enamel dots in coordinating color
  9. adhere panel to base using foam adhesive
  10. Done!

Happy Stamping … although there actually isn’t any stamping on this one! Very strange for me.
