Create a Card – Mother’s Day Card

Hi Everyone!

I’m back with another card – this one is for my mom who does so much for me, especially lately as we navigate home renos, hockey tournaments, dance recitals and the Retreat! Love you mom.

Here’s the card I made for her:

which was totally inspired by this card by Mariana Grigsby:

Supplies I used:

  • Distress Ink: tattered rose, dried marigold & shaded lilac
  • Ink applicator
  • Hero Arts Cling Stamp “Wildflower Garden”
  • Versamark Ink
  • Clear embossing powder
  • heat gun (now shown)
  • My Favorite Things “Peaceful Wildflowers” stamp set (sentiment)
  • acrylic block
  • Memento “rich cocoa” ink
  • foam adhesive

  1. Cut craft paper for card base
  2. Cut watercolor paper for panel
  3. Clear heat emboss the floral image
  4. apply distress inks with foam applicator until you get a blended look you like
  5. mat the image on brown card stock and then adhere with foam adhesive to card base.
  6. stamp sentiment in rich cocoa ink and cut into a banner
  7. adhere with foam adhesive
  8. done!

Happy Stamping!
