Happy Monday! Happy Mojo Monday!!
This week’s challenge is to share some of the Blogs that you follow.
As a Grade One teacher, I am very familiar with Show and Share. The children love to bring something new, exciting and fun to show their friends, and share with us the story behind it.
This week’s challenge is very similar. We all read and follow our favourite designers, bloggers and websites that keep us up-to-date with what’s happening in the creative world. The information gathered from these blogs/sites/reviews help keep us inspired to try new things and take new adventures in our creativity.
I love reading blogs for a number of reasons. I am always eager to see new product releases from manufacturers and how a designer can take those products and make them into something incredible. I value tidbits of technique, and I enjoy how blogging adds a personal touch in why we create and what we gain from it in all aspects of our lives.
The layout this week is one that was created using a sketch by Diana Fisher. She has a blog that I follow and often posts sketches that are a great way to get a page started, or to challenge you to try something different.
I started by creating a background with a stencil and some Ferro in the colour “Steel.” The next layer is Distress Ink through a stencil in the colour “Shabby Shutters.” Finally I used a Dylusions Spray in “Slate Grey” and tapped some drops onto the paper to finish it.
So…. the idea here for our challenge this week is to share with us the creative blogs that you follow. What/Whom online inspires you to get creative or to learn something new?
We have lots of local blogger talent. If you follow the right-hand side bar of our blog you will see a list of our Paperie Creative Team, and some of our Paperie Peeps. You can click on their names, and follow the link to their blog.
We would love for you to share the creative blogs you follow with us!! Here’s how you can;
- Upload your link to the Mojo Monday Gallery on our Facebook page.
- Tweet your link using our Twitter handle
- Email us your link to firstname.lastname@example.org
Here’s what we’ll do – We will compile a list of blogs from your input and share it with you all!
A special thanks to the members of our Creative Community that made this suggestion 🙂
