Create a Card – January 21st, 2015

For this week’s card I wanted to try a super simple, one layer card with the idea to make several to give as a set.  Here’s what I came up with:

Supplies:

  • Cardstock – colour of your choice for card base
  • Neenah Solar White card stock for panel
  • Distress Inks: worn lipstick, ripe persimmon, bundled sage, broken china, squeezed lemonade
  • Hero Arts Shadow Ink: mint julep
  • Versafine black ink
  • acrylic blocs
  • Lawn Fawn “Penelope’s Blossoms” stamp set
  • Lawn Fawn “Happy Everything” stamp set
  • foam adhesive

Instructions:

  1. Cut coloured card stock into A2 card base
  2. Cut card panel from Neenah Solar White cardstock
  3. use a variety of ink to stamp flowers around edge of panel * I started with opposing corners and tried to balance out the colours and then added leaves to each grouping of flowers.
  4. stamp the banner in black ink
  5. stamp sentiment in broken china Distress Ink
  6. Adhere panel to card base
  7. done!

I plan to make a set of these and leave the banner empty.  With the “Happy Everything” stamp set it’s easy to add the sentiment last minute.

Happy Stamping!
