It’s the end of January already – can you believe it? Here’s the layout (by MelBlackburn) I was inspired by this week:
I liked the placement of the photo, the yummy layers and the use of the stencil to create the star pattern. Here’s my take:
I love photos that aren’t posed and this one speaks loudly of the bond my daughter and husband have. I had some patterned paper left from playing with the February page kit that I used as a large strip across a piece of woodgrain white 12×12. I used a stencil and ‘seedless preserves’ distress ink to create the circles in opposing corners of the picture. I mounted the photo on another piece of patterned paper. I then pulled out my die-cut/ embellishment basket and dug for pieces I could layer with. The circle/heart ‘clip’ is a die-cut I made using my silhouette – I often make several at once and throw them in my basket; especially if they are neutral colours. The title is actually made up of die-cuts and some small alphas.
Hope you’re inspired this week!
