Mojo Monday – Nov.30/15 – Document December

Happy Monday! Happy Mojo Monday!!

This week our challenge is to document the happenings of the month ahead.

Yesterday morning we attended the Annual Downtown Christmas parade. For my family, it marks the beginning of a very busy December ahead. It’s a month full of activity (like we were bored before;) and a whole lot of added excitement around that holiday called Christmas that is only 25 days away!!! But who’s counting?!?!

The boys, like most kids right about now, are eagerly awaiting the latest video game, the bowls of chips at family gatherings and the hopes of snow arriving real soon – enough maybe even to get a snow day!

I love listening to the chatter, and the commentary on what is happening day to day. I especially enjoyed sitting with our youngest as he finished off his letter to Santa asking me “How do you spell Nutella Mom?”

For me, documenting the everyday is really important. But this month is especially fun because of all the extra fun and frolic. Here are a few snaps from the December album I created last year. Documenting what’s happening, is taking the photos and writing the words, but it’s also about gathering the bits of evidence of a month well spent. A few examples are, I included the sheet music for my son’s first Christmas carol, the ticket to the Nutcracker that my nieces performed in, and also included my boys in the project by having them do some of the journaling.
