Create a Card – Oct. 25, 2016

Hi Everyone;

I’m back this week with a very simple card.  I have some friends going through a tough time and I wanted to let them know that we are thinking about them so I searched my supplies and come up with a couple of older stamps sets and used them on this card.

  • foam stamping mat
  • cutter
  • scor pal
  • white card stock – base
  • black card stock – panel
  • acrylic block
  • teal metallic finish embossing powder
  • versamark
  • powder tool
  • heat gun
  • gelly roll pen
  • foam adhesive
  • pearls
  • Hero Arts “antique engravings” stamp set
  • Avery Elle “all squared up” stamp set

  1. cut white card stock into A2 card base
  2. cut black card stock into panel
  3. brush powder tool over card panel
  4. stamp butterflies and sentiment using versmark ink
  5. heat emboss with teal metallic finish embossing powder
  6. draw a frame around black card panel with gelly roll glitter pen
  7. adhere card panel to white card base with foam adhesive
  8. add pearl gems
  9. Done!

Heat embossing has such a dramatic effect; every time I do it I wonder why I don’t use it more often.

Happy Stamping!
