Create a Card – November 8 2016

Hi Everyone!

What an amazing time we had at the retreat this past weekend – so much fun and inspiration.  I brought christmas card supplies and managed to pump out a few.  This post is about the 3 cards Tina and I made for a customer looking for inspiration on how to use her stamp set.


  • Avery Elle ‘Carolling Critters; Stamp set
  • Neenah Solar White cardstock
  • Copic Markers: R20, T7, YR14, E15, R46, G16, T2
  • Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Misty stamping tool – **awesome!!!
  • patterned paper
  • Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen
  • gelly roll glitter pen
  • foam adhesive
  • Tape runner
  • lawn fawn frame die
  • Big Shot

Here are the cards:

Card #1 – Instructions

  1. Cut A2 Card Base from white card stock
  2. Cut panel (5 1/4 x 4) from patterned Paper (this was one of the new Christmas papers)
  3. Die cut frame from white card stock using lawn fawn die
  4. stamp and color bear image
  5. fussy cut out bear
  6. adhere patterned paper to card base
  7. adhere bear to centre of card
  8. adhere from to card base
  9. Done!


Card #2 – Instructions

  1. Cut A2 card base from white card stock
  2. Cut  Card panel (5 1/4 x 4) from Neenah Solar white card stock
  3. Use Misti tool to position stamp scene and sentiment *the snowflake is used twice
  4. color image
  5. trace over snowflakes with gelly roll glitter pen
  6. ‘paint’ snow with clear wink of stella
  7. hand cut snow bank to sit below the image (I did this once and then used the off-cut to trace out extras to mass produce)
  8. adhere panel to card base with tape runner
  9. adhere snow bank with foam adhesive
  10. add some wink of stella glitter to snow bank



Card #3 – instructions

  1. create A2 card base with white card stock
  2. create panel with Neenah Solar white card stock (5 1/4 x 4)
  3. Use misti tool to stamp lamp post, snowfalls and sentiment to card base
  4. cut snowbank and use misti tool to re-stamp the bottom of lamp post
  5. stamp carollers onto scrap of neenah solar white
  6. color images using copic markers
  7. adhere card panel to base using tape runner
  8. adhere snow bank using foam adhesive
  9. adhere carollers using foam adhesive
  10. trace snowflakes using gelly roll glitter pen




This stamp set is an older one but we have a bunch of new Christmas stamps in store and are placing an order soon so let us know if there is a stamp set that you’d like.  My favourite new tool is the Misti so put that on your list for sure!
